Tater's Story...

Tater Tot is a 7 (ish) year old Schnauzer who came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue after her owner could no longer care for her. Fuzzy Pawz is now looking for a new home for this adorable little girl.

This cute girl can be a little bit skittish around new people but is very loving and gentle when she gets to know you. She is afraid of children though so no kids under 15 please. She loves belly rubs and a nice warm lap to lay on.

Tater will tolerate cats but doesn’t like them in her face; she likes to play with other dogs her size, but isn’t so found of really big dogs. She does better with at least one other dog in the household so we do require that her new home have at least one other dog for her to play with.

She doesn’t appear to have any bad habits, house trained, does not chew on anything or dig when she is. Tater walks well on a leash & enjoys car rides, although she will shiver for a bit when she 1st gets in the car. She prefers sleeping w/ you at night, but is kennel trained. Tater will need to go to a home that has a fenced yard.

Tater does have a small cataract on her right eye, which causes some irritation but nothing to bad; other than that Tater is a healthy girl now that some of her teeth have been pulled

Tater has been spayed, vaccinated, had a senior blood panel done and recently had a dental and some teeth removed.

If you are looking for a nice little lap dog please fill out an application and we will contact you about meeting her

There is a $50 adoption fee for Tater

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tater, a Boise Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Boise, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Boise.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boise already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boise breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boise paves the way for another one to be saved.
