Ingrid's Story...
Ingrid is a 7 year-old German Shepherd Dog mix. She came to us because her family was moving into assisted living. She is healthy, spayed, and up to date with her vaccinations. She grew up in a multi-dog home. She has basic obedience training, great potty manners, and just needs a break.

Ingrid absolutely loves to go on a walk, and she will show you how happy she is when she sees the leash; she gets so excited! But no fear -- her leash manners are impeccable. She is an alert, attentive girl who loves to play and get attention.

Ingrid can be a shy girl around new people, but she quickly warms up when she recognizes a friend. She can be a bit intimidating, so she needs a person/family that will understand that her fear of new surroundings will soon turn into love and trust. She will make a loyal, obedient companion for her new family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ingrid, a Gilbert German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
