Duchess's Story...
Duchess is a very loving 4 yr. old chocolate Lab. She is smaller than most labs but she sure has energy and loves to play tug. She will relax with you at the end of the day at your feet. She is a really smart dog and learns new things really quick and enjoys it. She is house-trained and crate- trained.
Duchess needs someone that will be consistent with the rules but
responds best to kindness. She has a great capacity for affection. With a treat you will find a dog that will do anything for you but with love she will melt your heart. She has worked really hard and deserves a forever home with lots of love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duchess, a Saskatoon Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Saskatoon, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Saskatoon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saskatoon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saskatoon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saskatoon paves the way for another one to be saved.
