Gertie is such sweet thing, and I bet you didn’t know this; she’s unusual in two ways. One her lovely brindle coloring and secondly her breed, a Catahoula Leopard dog cross. You don’t see too many Catahoulas these days. This hound girl is born roughly mid March 2012 and has a heart of gold. Loves playing in the yard and being a kid.

I am a tad shy around strangers, but once you give me a chance and sweet talk me a bit, throw in a belly rub and a comfy dog bed, we’re good to go. I’d even share my dog bed with you, if you’ll share your bed with me. Great trade hey? Right now, I am working on building my confidence in new situations, something us kids have to do to learn about taking on the world and doing well in all situations. So you know, I’d love to have a new forever home with another, more experienced dog. You know, someone to show me the ropes. I learn quickly, and love to please.

Since I am shy and not so confident, I would love to live with older kids. See, the little ones move too fast for me. My life has been kinda up in the air and difficult, until I came to New Hope, so I have things to learn that will make me into a well rounded, confident dog. Would you take me home? Partner with me so I can learn what to do and be the best dog ever? All I ever wanted was a home of my own and someone who really loves me for the dog that I am. I have a lot to offer. See you soon.
