Wally's Story...
Wally was brought to the shelter after a young man took him from someone who was giving puppies away in a Walmart parking lot. He came to the shelter a very frail and sick little guy! He immediately went into foster care and has made a remarkable recovery. He is now playing and eating up a storm. He loves all other puppies and people. We are expecting him to be a med. size dog. He is quite an adventurous guy for being so little. He is about 7 and half weeks old as of April 24. He loves to cuddle and play. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wally, a Baton Rouge Boxer/American Bulldog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/American Bulldog for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Boxer/American Bulldog puppy from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/American Bulldog breeders who help with Boxer/American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
