Gomez's Story...
Gomez is a 1 year old chihuahua/italian greyhound mix who weighs about 8-9 lbs.

He's a funky little guy who's already house-trained, friendly with other dogs, and is just a lover with everyone he meets. He hasn't been around cats but I would assume he would be just fine.

He is very friendly, has a goofy personality, and a gentle and sweet demeanor. He is the perfect mix of cool and calm and he has a lot of love to give to his new family that is out there somewhere. He also does well on car rides and would make the perfect companion for someone looking for a small dog with a lot of personality. Meet Gomez, you will fall in love! :)

If you'd like to meet this dog, please fill out an adoption application at http://www.sarocks.org/adopt or visit us on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/sarocksorg.

The $85 adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, rabies tag, heartworm test, and 1st month's flea/tick & heartworm preventative.

Adopting an animal from a foster home gives you the best option of finding a pet that matches your lifestyle and home environment, because they are in foster, our foster homes are able to give you more information on their temperament and personality.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gomez, a San Antonio Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua breeders who help with Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
