Zima's Story...
Zima was found in a rough neighborhood in Cleveland, OH. O.F.C.R. was on their way back from an animal rights Rally called RALLY FOR REFORM when they spotted a white cat, with bald spots and blood stains sniffing at an empty rusty bowl, obviously looking for food.

She is very friendly. There was a dog in the car and she paid it no mind. She is scuffed up but healing nicely. She is a companion cat- loves to be pet in your lap, and purrs away. Zima also loves to be brushed and minimally sheds.

UPDATE: Poor Zima was pregnant and lost her kittens. Poor thing was out there pregnant and starving. She is recovering well and still seems content and relieved. She LOVES THE SPACE HEATER and positions herself to be in the heat. She is FIV/FELINE LEUKEMIA Negative.

UPDATE APRIL 8th --- Zima is very patient with and LOVES children - She is also fine with dogs if properly approached and socialized toward them. They don't come much better then Zima... this cat gets an A + in temperament.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zima, a Olmsted Falls American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Olmsted Falls, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Olmsted Falls.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Olmsted Falls already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Olmsted Falls breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Olmsted Falls paves the way for another one to be saved.
