My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Joanna and I am a volunteer at the Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter in Manahawkin NJ .

This is lovely Sweetie. She's 8-years-old, and is listed by the shelter as a Lilac Point Birman.

She was recently surrendered as her person passed away.
... Although Sweetie is very sad, and not liking shelter life, she enjoys being petted and can become quite talkative. Despite all the confusion in Sweetie's life, she has kept her sweet personality and kind ways.
While she is currently up for adoption, it's quite likely that she will not have a good outcome at this shelter.

The Friends of the Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter in Manahawkin NJ are sponsoring Sweetie by funding her rescue, and also providing transport.

It should also be noted that Sweetie's owner, a priest who died in February, devoted himself to helping the poor and needy children of Sierra Leone, Africa.
