Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Crystal, a 9 week old lab mix who currently weighs 9 pounds. Crystal and her siblings were born in a deserted mine shaft in Kentucky. Someone saw them and called a local rescue group, whose volunteers crawled through mud and water to bring the pups out. The rescue group even got a picture of their mom, who looks like a yellow lab. They were told that dad might be an Airedale.
Crystal is a little shy, but like her siblings she is eager for human attention and affection. Her first foster mom tells us that Crystal is an easy-going pup who is good with kids and large dogs. She is on her way to being crate-trained and house-trained.
Crystal looks like she may be part Airedale, but we don't know for sure what breed she is or how big she will be when fully grown. So she needs to be adopted by someone willing to take pot-luck in terms of her breed and size. Since she's so young, Crystal needs a family where someone is home part or all day to finish her potty-training as well as keep her exercised and socialized.
You can meet Crystal at Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750). Although you may want to adopt her on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.
Crystal's adoption fee of $335 includes: vet exam, DHAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, flea & tick preventative, deworming, microchip and spay.
