Joey's Story...
Joey is a four year old maltese/poodle mix. He is a sweet boy and gets along great with other dogs and children. Joey is learning that he does not have to mark everything that belongs to him; he will be getting neutered on April 12th and we feel that this will help. Joey is a complete lap dog and loves snuggling with you. He walks well on a leash and enjoys daily walks. Joey would love to have a family of his own:) He is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative, and will be neutered on April 12th.

If you are interested in adopting Joey, please submit an online adoption application at This does NOT obligate you to adopt. Joey will not be available to adopt until April 12th but we are accepting applications now.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joey, a Franklin Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Franklin, or seeking a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Franklin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Franklin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Franklin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Franklin paves the way for another one to be saved.
