Carson's Story...
There could not be a more loving or cuddly pup than Carson when he's with his established person or people. It does take a little time and gentle touches to gain Carson's trust...but once you're there, he's bonded for life. His family would ideally consist of a retiree(s) or a single individual who is quiet and very loving. Carson would love nothing more than to be with his family in every situation. He would be a wonderful walking companion and would warm your lap indefinitely when it's time for quiet moments on the couch. At about 1.5 years old and 8-10 lbs, Carson could be a long-term companion that would be very portable to take along on trips and adventures. His joy lies in his adult companions...he likes children but has no intention of playing with them. He feels sort of the same way about other dogs...he'll tolerate them but don't ask him to be one of a pack or to engage in canine play. A quiet, more predictable lifestyle would be perfect for this adorable little companion. Carson is a non-shedding guy and would therefore require periodic grooming to keep his coat healthy and matt-free.

Carson will be arriving on transport in Denver in mid-April. Applications are currently being accepted for this loving and gentle adult companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carson, a Boulder Schnauzer (Miniature)/Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Cairn Terrier for sale in Boulder, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Boulder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boulder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boulder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature)/Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature)/Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boulder paves the way for another one to be saved.
