Beau's Story...
Both Beau and Blue are sweet, sweet boys. Even after being in the house for
just a few days they have warmed up nicely and greet us at the door whenever we come home (except for when they're sound asleep snoozin'.....). They have been perfectly okay with my 2 cats and have been only inquisitive with them. No food aggression towards each other or to us during chow time. I took them for a short walk on Wednesday and they did pretty good - no leash pulling and no issues when cars went by. Just taking in the sights and sounds around them.

Beau - A little more reserved than Blue but still enjoys the attention. Enjoys having his ears rubbed. Likes to keep an eye on what Blue is doing.

Blue - Loves to bury his head in your lap or push against your leg so that he can get extra pets and love. Enjoys playing with a tennis ball and squeaky toys

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beau, a Powell Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Powell, or seeking a Collie dog from a breeder in Powell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Powell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Powell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Powell paves the way for another one to be saved.
