Dot's Story...
Meet Dot – the beautiful new face at Coronado Animal Care Facility!

Dot was found as a stray here in Coronado. She is very cautious upon meeting you, until you win her confidence and she feels safe. Once she trusts you, her love starts flowing and her favorite position is sitting pressed against you.

Since Dot is very shy, she would be suited best in a home that is quiet without small children or excessive noise and activity.

Dot is smart and learns quickly, so showering her with kisses and praise will bring her personality out even more. She smiles easily and her soulful eyes along with her curly black coat make her irresistible.

Please visit Dot at the Coronado Animal Care Facility and see for yourself what dedicated companion she can be. The Coronado Animal Care Facility, located at 1395 First Street, is open every day between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm (except holidays).

If you are interested in adopting Dot, you must first complete a dog adoption application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Dog Adoption Counselor.

Dot's Stats:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dot, a Coronado Havanese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Havanese for sale in Coronado, or seeking a Havanese dog from a breeder in Coronado.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coronado already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coronado breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Havanese breeders who help with Havanese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coronado paves the way for another one to be saved.
