Lucy's Story...
Lucy is a loving and gentle dog, with excellent social skills. She is calm and enjoys just being near people. She has experience as a go-anywhere dog; her manners are good enough to take into town, out for coffee, to work, etc. and she loves going in the car. She is not a barker or a chewer. She wants to please her human and was quick to learn basic commands. She was approved for and attends a cage-free doggie daycare for weekly romps with other dogs, and they adore her there. Lucy and one puppy were found crossing big streets in heavy traffic. They were in terrible health, clearly having been on the streets for a long time. They were taken to the pound in South Central, and rescued by the person who found them, on the day they were to be put to death. Both dogs were returned to perfect health in foster care, and her puppy has since been adopted. Lucy’s life was saved because she is destined and well-equipped to be someone’s best friend.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Marina del Rey American Staffordshire Terrier/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Pointer for sale in Marina del Rey, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Pointer dog from a breeder in Marina del Rey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marina del Rey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marina del Rey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Pointer breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marina del Rey paves the way for another one to be saved.
