Lucy is a loving and gentle dog, with excellent social skills. She is calm and enjoys just being near people. She has experience as a go-anywhere dog; her manners are good enough to take into town, out for coffee, to work, etc. and she loves going in the car. She is not a barker or a chewer. She wants to please her human and was quick to learn basic commands. She was approved for and attends a cage-free doggie daycare for weekly romps with other dogs, and they adore her there. Lucy and one puppy were found crossing big streets in heavy traffic. They were in terrible health, clearly having been on the streets for a long time. They were taken to the pound in South Central, and rescued by the person who found them, on the day they were to be put to death. Both dogs were returned to perfect health in foster care, and her puppy has since been adopted. Lucy’s life was saved because she is destined and well-equipped to be someone’s best friend.
