Humphrey's Story...
Humphrey is a handsome and sweet 1 1/2 year old male grey tabby with a debonair look like his namesake Humphrey Bogart! This young guy is sweet and still a little scared but is coming around daily. He's a snuggler at heart and is quickly learning to trust. He's already head-butting and leaning into your hand to get petted. In the morning he'll stand on his hind legs to pat you awake in your bed, but he's still a little wary and will sometimes seek out his brother, Bogart, to check whether what he's doing is allowed. The two love spooning and romping and occasionally wrestling with each other. Humphrey and Bogart lived on the street until they were caught as part of a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) effort and brought into a home which was temporarily fostering him. Luckily a local vet reached out to Infinite Hope to help find the brothers a forever home, so that they didn't have to be returned to the street. They are two heart warmers who will ideally be adopted together but they are each people-friendly and ready to bond to a loving person.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Humphrey, a Brooklyn Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
