Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Freddie: Active, energetic Dachshund 12 years of age; in excellent health. Dapple coloring with tan paws. Complete AKC certification and current on all veterinary vaccinations. As with most Dachshunds I require annual or bi-annual dental cleaning- my Spring 2013 cleaning will be taken care of prior to adoption through Banfield Pet Hospital. My loves: walking, hiking, playing in a yard, music and most importantly, companionship. Will also cuddle or sleep for hours on end. I'm really the best of both worlds.
I do have a powerful bark on him and therefore make a great watchdog- however am probably not suitable for apartment living unless I have constant companionship. I have a long-standing issue with separation anxiety which has eased with age but should still be of note. I do well with other dogs in daycare, and enjoy meeting new people. I love people of all ages, with the exception of children around toddler age; they often move quickly and I get nervous around them.
My current owner has work commitments through 2014, which conflict with the level of companionship and supervision that I need. She has struggled for quite some time with this transition; I am extremely personable and loyal, and have been a great dog. She is open and excited about any opportunity to watch me sporadically (given notice) in the event that you should like to vacation without me or otherwise need boarding services.
Thank you for your interest and please feel free to inquire if you need additional information about me.
