Charlie's Story...
Charlie is a happy go lucky 3 year old border collie / spaniel mix. He was returned to the shelter because his owner was moving and couldn't take him. Charlie is mostly housebroken and rides great in the car. He's good with other dogs, and is ok with kids too as long as they are respectful. He has a lot of energy, like most border collies do, and loves to run and play. His absolute favorite toys are tennis balls. Charlie is up to date on shots, neutered, and has a microchip. Now all he needs is someone to love him and give him a home! Do you think you have room in your house and heart for a fun loving guy like Charlie?

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Youngwood Border Collie/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Border Collie/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Border Collie/Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
