BRANDO's Story...

BRANDO....has the cutest underbite you have ever seen, thus his namesake. But this 1 yr old, gray/white/black, 18 lb, Lhasa Apso's personality ends with the name. He is a character...but one of the sweetest we have ever met. Brando's biggest fault is he kisses too if you don't like a kisser, you won't like Brando! We think that he would be best in a home with kids who are a little older, just because he'd probably knock a child over trying to give them lots of love! There is no question that Brando needs a playful pup, although at first he might try to dominate (hump), just because he doesn't know better. Training is going to make this boy a super man. If he doesn't have a pal, he might get bored :( He will also need a yard and a family would be fantastic. He's a great dog who could attend sports games, go to the beach, hike in the mountains and be your best friend. He is funny, especially the bad haircut he was given at the shelter! We can just imagine what he looked like before! He has the softest coat and is just a cuddlebug. His potty training actually is pretty good...but he needs to be on a schedule and taught the "rules." He was really good at our house, but he has been at day care, so he might need a refresher. We never guarantee because each environment is different....but he is very smart. If you are looking for a fantastic family dog....Brando is your boy!

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

Most Sundays, unless we are doing a special event, we are at Westfield Century City Mall from 12p-4pm behind the Concierge Booth near Brooks Bros. Park in the Orange Section in the parking structure and come up the escallator and follow the signage. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on events we may be doing! See our home page for more details about our adoptions at Lhasa Happy Homes.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BRANDO, a Los Angeles Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
