Jazzy's Story...
Hi! My name is Jazzy! I'm a spunky little girl who loves to explore and hang out with people. One of my favorite pastimes at the START II shelter is looking out the windows. There's so much to take in, and now that the weather is warm, I get to watch the birds and squirrels in the yard. I can spend hours in front of one window! Half the time I end up falling asleep in a sunspot though. I'm also very playful. I like to chase the laser pointer and love wand toys that allow my human friends and me to play together. My ideal furever home will accept me as part of their family, provide me with unconditional love, and spend time with me. We don't always have to play. As long as we're spending time together, I'm a happy kitty!

Jazzy is current on her vaccination, parasite-free, spayed, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. If you are interested in meeting Jazzy, please call Donna at (201) 873-7533 or email startkayne@gmail.com to schedule an appointment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jazzy, a Elmwood Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
