Meow! My name is Bookmark
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with cats.
Hello! My name is Bookmark. Unique, isn't it? Sometimes they call me "Bookie" for short. I was originally handraised as a baby kitten by a Town Cats volunteer years ago! Then I was adopted out to a nice family with another sweet cat, Pansy. However, they recently lost their home and after all this time, I find myself back at Town Cats looking for another home. Hopefully this time it can be permanent?
I'm a very sweet, quiet boy - I'm a big white cat, as you can see here. I LOVE attention, although after all the recent stress I've been through you'll want to let me settle in for a week or two before smothering me with love, it's been a hard time lately! But I rediscovered one of my favorite volunteers (still at the shelter!) and I'm cuddling with her and loving on her. I even wanted to climb on her shoulders - something I used to do many years ago! I'd probably be better with a calm quiet household. I did have most of my teeth removed at some point - many cats do have trouble with dental hygiene! I eat food just fine though. I'm okay with the other cats here, so should be fine with other calm kitties, but would probably be fine alone too with lots of love. You don't need to adopt my 'sister' Pansy with me, but if you are looking for a pair, ask about her - she's a gorgeous brown-and-white Maine Coon mix girl who is also super sweet!! I would also prefer if you kept me indoors - white cats have a higher risk of skin cancer.
PLEASE email to meet me!!!!

Our mission at Town Cats is to maintain a No-Kill Adoption Center/Shelter and foster home network for friendly homeless cats and kittens awaiting adoption; to bring attention to and alleviate the suffering of homeless and feral cats in Santa Clara county; to educate the public about the pet overpopulation problem and provide the public with the tools to become part of the solution to assist homeless and feral cats through Trap, Neuter and Return programs; and to find permanent, loving, and safe homes for all the homeless house cats and kittens in our care. See our video explaining the shelter (over 7 minutes long) below!
You can meet kitties at our shelter by appointment. We have some cats displayed in various stores throughout the bay area - we rotate them in and out, so stop by and see who's in the store this week! Our pet fairs change. For the latest up to date information, please check here at: http://www.towncats.org/datesl!
All adoptions of our cats and kittens are subject to approval by Town Cats. If approved, you can take home your new feline friend the same day provided the cat or kitten is ready to go! Check http://www.towncats.org/adopt for our most current adoption fees. Each cat will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested for leukemia/FIV (every adult and one kitten per litter plus mom and/or dad if we have them), dewormed, defleaed, microchipped, plus routine medical check up done prior to delivery. Each adoption also includes 30 days free pet insurance and 20% discount coupon for Pet Food Express stores (check at time of adoption, sometimes we have alternate coupon books available).
Outdoor/Feral Cats adoptions require a site inspection and adoption fees vary depending on how many cats you adopt, a minimum $25 donation per cat is recommended as each cat will have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and defleaed (and microchipped, if possible). We deliver feral cats to you and will provide the enclosure/cage required for minimum 30 day imprinting.
Ask us about senior cats for senior people rates too, which are negotiated based on the cat and the person's unique situation!
