Meet Ace! This handsome Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix is approx 1 year old (date of birth approx March 2012), 23kg's, and is as sweet as they come! Ace absolutely adores people - he just wants to cuddle and be loved. He is learning a lot of new things since coming to New Hope and is taking it all in stride, but just needs someone willing to reassure him that everything is okay the first time around. Ace has a beautiful coat - check out his great beach-bum hairdo in his pictures, and he's also got a cute cowlick going on right near the base of his tail. It all just adds to this boy's character - and boy oh boy does he have character!
Ace is wonderful with other dogs - whether it be to laze around and nap with, or have a fun play session or romp at the off-leash park, he really just enjoys being in the company of others.
He's very gentle, and enjoys being as physically close to his people as possible (loves to lean in and nuzzle). He's also fun-loving, and can be quite the goof - when you grab his leash to get ready for a walk, he often lets out an excited yawning-whine.
Ace is house-trained and crate-trained (although we're currently working on getting him more keen to go in his crate, he's not so much a fan of the going in part, but he does well once inside).
Overall, Ace is just a great boy looking for a loving home, and someone to teach him all sorts of fun new things, and in return, he will provide unconditional love and great cuddles. Apply to meet Ace today, you won't be disappointed!
