Georgie's Story...
Sweet George is one amazing little boy who needs a foster or forever home. Georgie was found downstate with a broken jaw and a very damaged eye. No one knows for sure, but he was either abused or hit by a car, this has not stopped this guy from loving everyone he meets. After extensive surgery to wire his jaw and remove his eye he is on the mend. Georgie is ready to keep you company while you work on the computer, watch television and will be more than happy to keep the bed warm when you leave for work. He is so grateful that he was given a second chance to find a happy life that he never misses the opportunity to show his gratitude to anyone who is nearby. He is a one-of-a-kind cat and we think he deserve the very best. If you are looking for unconditional cuddles and purrs he is the man for you. Georgie is still a young man - only two years old! He has a long life ahead of him. If you think you want to show him the love he deserves as a foster or forever home, please contact either Toni at or Lisa at

We are always in need of foster homes. If you are not able to adopt, but are interested in fostering or know someone who might be, we would love to hear from you! Please contact Toni McNaughton at or Lisa Ward at to learn more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Georgie, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
