Roxie's Story...
Roxie- French Bulldog, Roxie is a little over 6 years old- she originally came from a local high volume breeder (read: puppy mill) at age 3 and was adopted in December 2009. . And she is a little bull dozer...strong, wide and determined.
She was just returned due to illness on the part of the adopter. She's a bossy little girl, her former owner says she is toy and food aggressive, and has lots of allergies. She is on Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Fish dry dog food and canned, and gets NB treats too, as well as what we use for nighttime goodies- a marrow bone stuffed with low fat cream cheese and ground turkey). It's a small amount of turkey so I guess she doesn't' have a major reaction to that. She does get Temaril (antihistamine) daily just in case she has some kind of reaction. We understand she's also allergic to grass- so she has been utilizing the concrete lanai area for her bathroom duties. She does not like to be crated .
Her adoption fee is $275 all vetting has been done up to now- she must be maintained on heartguard monthly to prevent heartworms
SPAY-LEE has a three hour drive time for our adoption placements and we are an all volunteer organization..so please be patient with us if it takes a day or two to respond to messages.

We keep our adoption fees as low as possible, but due to the fact that sometimes additional vet visits are required you may see a change on our adoption fees. We do our best to update our listing within 48 hours in the event of a change.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxie, a Fort Myers French Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a French Bulldog for sale in Fort Myers, or seeking a French Bulldog dog from a breeder in Fort Myers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Myers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Myers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even French Bulldog breeders who help with French Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Myers paves the way for another one to be saved.
