My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bio Update 04/23/13: Hi, It's me Emerson. Now that I've been living with my foster Mom for a few weeks she says she knows me better and knows what kind a family will be a perfect fit for me. She says I'm a very fun loving guy who likes his people time very much. So I will need to live with a family that has a person who can be home with me a lot. I do like all the other dogs in my foster home and love to compete with them on games of fetch. I will sit when you ask me to and get really happy when I see my harness because then I know I will get a walk or a ride in the car and I like doing both very much. She calls me a little sweetie a lot and I sure like that ! I like to go out in the yard to do my business. Even when the weather has been stormy and rainy. My foster Mom says a fenced yard is a must for since I like to go out ofter to potty and just enjoy the sunshine. I only weigh 5 pounds, but my spirit and personality are HUGE and my heart is filled with a lot of love to give to my forever family.

Initial Bio 3-24-13: Hi everybody, I'd like to introduce you to Emerson! He is approximately 6 years old and a tiny (approx 4-5 pound) Yorkie boy who suddenly found himself in need of rescue!! Emerson was surrendered today due to a change in his owner's living situation and her inability to care for him. He is a little shy right now since he is in a new situation, but he is getting acquainted with his foster mom and new fur brothers. He is well mannered, appears to know the command "sit" and has taken care of his "business" outside even with the nasty Indiana weather and snow here today. He is getting along well and even trying to play some with his new furbrothers. Emerson will be seeing the vet in the next few days for an exam, vaccinations, neuter and possible dental. We will post an update after he has been neutered and we get to know him better. Emerson will be ready to start looking for his "forever" family as soon as he is neutered and recuperates from that, so if you are interested in this little "pint-size" sweetie, be sure and get your application submitted for him.
