Ellie(pending)'s Story...
Miss Ellie was surrendered along with her siblings to a high kill shelter. Lucky for them a member of our rescue team was on hand to alert us and we rescued them that very day! Now they live with their wonderful foster family where they have a little girl of their own to play with, as well as an older big dog who acts as their surrogate mom!

Ellie is a sweet fluffball, energetic and playful, but snuggly and affectionate too. She is intelligent and will be highly trainable. She will make a great family dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ellie(pending), a Carlisle Border Collie/Black and Tan Coonhound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Black and Tan Coonhound for sale in Carlisle, or seeking a Border Collie/Black and Tan Coonhound puppy from a breeder in Carlisle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carlisle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carlisle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Black and Tan Coonhound breeders who help with Border Collie/Black and Tan Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carlisle paves the way for another one to be saved.
