Maverick's Story...
Maverick is a male miniature dachshund between one and two years-old with a calm, tolerant, and sweet temperament. He loves everyone he meets, is great with other dogs and kids, and loves lying on the couch with his people. He also enjoying romping around in the backyard with other dogs. Maverick's foster family says he is a very happy dog that enjoys rawhides and leaves everything else alone. After naptime, he greets their three year-old son like he's been gone all day, so excited to see him! Maverick loves to snuggle and is a good TV buddy. He doesn't tremble like a lot of small dogs and would make a great family dog. Maverick can't wait to find his forever home. Please email for more information about Maverick. He is being fostered in Madison, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maverick, a Marietta Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
