UPDATED BIO 04/14/2013: Hi there! It's me, Charlotte!! I am an adorable (if I do say so myself) little 12 lb 2 year old yorkie/schnauzer mix (we think.... didn't know my daddy and don't have any pictures of mommy) and am being fostered in sunny Miami, FL. Boy oh boy have I had a great 2 weeks since my rescue! I am SOOOOO happy! I love love love to play, love people, love my walks, love other dogs (but this little puppy chased me all over the dog park and I was skeered of him!!), and just love being outta that shelter!!!
I was a little nervous my first few days being rescued. I thought someone was gonna hurt me. Now, well, that's all in the past. I am a happy little fuzzball (caution.... I do shed a tiny bit but both FM and FD are allergic to dogs - who'd have thunk?? - and neither has an issue with my fur... just a little disclaimer), and I'm 150% housetrained! I haven't made a single accident in the house. Aren't I smart?? I am also crate trained. I love chew toys and squeaky toys and running and playing in the park... but not if that crazy puppy is there chasing me!! I haven't figured out he just wants to play, and it scared the bejeebers out of me! haha.
Anyway, if you are looking for an adorable cuddle muffin who has gleaming white teeth, a shining personality, and loves to be loved, well, I'm your girl!!!! xoxo - Charlotte
INITIAL BIO 04/02/2013: MEET CHARLOTTE! Charlotte is an adorable little yorkie/terrier mix (your guess is as good as ours!) who weighs 11 lbs and is only 2-3 years old. She is being fostered in Miami, FL. She is loving and energetic and loves to go for walks or snuggle with her person. She's also crate trained and housetrained. :)
Charlotte has had a rough few weeks. First Charlotte was a stray who was brought to a high kill shelter where she waited ELEVEN days for someone to rescue her. She was adopted but the owner could not keep her; so, they called UYR.
Charlotte is a sensitive girl. She can be frightened of loud noises when out on a walk (she walks on a harness), but she does just fine. New people seem to also make her a little nervous. It just seems like Charlotte has had a lot go on the last few weeks. Now that she is in a stable, loving environment, her silly playful personality is coming out. She LOVES to play fetch (wish she was better about bringing it back!) and loves belly rubs. We think Charlotte would love a home with someone who is active and will play with her and take her for walks but also snuggle with her and show her they'll never leave her. She loves other dogs (big or small). We think kids might be too scary for her just now. If the kids are calm and over 12, it could be considered.
