Appa's Story...
Appa is an older girl around 5 years old. She is blind in one eye but it doesn't seem to hinder her at all! She is sweet with everyone she meets. She will need to be groomed every 6-8 weeks but other than that she is very low maintenance. She appears potty trained and her coat is in excellent condition considering she was brought in as a stray. It is soft and curly! She would be the perfect movie cuddle buddy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Appa, a Baton Rouge Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
