Alfred's Story...
Hi! My name is "Alfred", but my friends call me "Big Al." I'm a handsome guy, if I do say so myself. I have this dapper black chin and a cute pink nose and my fluffy coat is soft, really soft! I'm just 2 and already neutered, so I'm ready to rock & roll outa here into a new loving home! I had a nice home, but when the lady left, the man didn't want me, so he brought me to this shelter. So, I'm lookin' forward to meeting a new person or family and getting to cuddle on the sofa. I miss that, ya know. The Volunteers here all fuss over me, saying how sweet and lovable I am! So, come on in and ask to visit with me in the Cat Room. I'm in cage #127.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alfred, a El Cajon Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
