Athena's Story...
Hi, my name is Athena and I am an 8 month old, Vizsla/mutt as my Dad was a purebred vizsla who lived next door to my Mom whose parents were a combination of shepherd/rottie/lab, in other words, they were mutts! I look like a black vizsla or a lab that is very finely made. I weigh 38 pounds, am spayed, current on shots and micro chipped. My sister is Pira and we can be adopted together, but don't have to be. I am a bit shy with new people, but very loyal and loving when I get to know you. I am almost housebroken and on my way to becoming a great dog! I live with other dogs, but haven't been around cats and have been fine with the kids I have met, but don't live around them. My adoption donation is $200. To find out more information or to meet me in please call or text (925) 209-6480 or call (623) 587-9119 or email

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Athena, a Phoenix Vizsla/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Vizsla/Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Vizsla/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Vizsla/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Vizsla/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
