My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Merlin
Age: 1 Year
Sex: male
Weight: 14 pounds
Breed: Schipperke Mix
Good with dogs, unsure about cats (can be tested)
Ok with kids (we recommend age 10+)
Foster observations: He's Mr. Personality. Merlin is a fun little guy with a lot of spunk but not a super high amount of energy. Pretty low-key in the house. He really seems to enjoy getting around on his hind legs alone, but he certainly seems to be grasping the concept that jumping on people is not cool. He's also REALLY into people more than dogs. He has minimal interest in interacting with my dog but he wants to be with me. Even when we're outside in the yard he sticks close rather than explore on his own. He also really enjoys laps and snuggling.

House trained: In progress
Crate trained: Yes
Special Needs of any kind: N/A
Health: In good health
Activity Level: Medium

LGR is a foster based rescue, which means that our adoptable dogs live in foster homes. Because they live with us, we know the habits, needs, temperament, and level of training of our dogs. To adopt an LGR dog, we ask that you first submit an adoption application (link below). When we receive your application, we will review and respond via email within 7 days. Our adoption process does more than screen applicants; it allows us to work with adopters to properly match our dogs with their forever homes. Each LGR dog is spayed/neutered, vaccinated (rabies, bordatella, DHLPP), heartworm tested (age appropriate), microchipped, and treated with heartworm and flea preventative. To adopt an LGR dog, please submit an adoption application here: http://bit.ly/LGRAdoptionApp

. As a foster based rescue, we rely on the generosity of people like you to open your hearts & homes to a dog in need. To become an LGR foster, please submit a foster application here: http://bit.ly/LGRFosterApp
