Alaska's Story...
Alaska is said to be a lab mix. She is 2 years old, and weighs 43lbs. She is a little wiggle butt, so it was kind of hard taking her picture. Lol! She is very sweet, and takes treats very gently. We are still in the process of evaluating her, so we are not sure how she would do with kids. (We don't think she will have any issues, but will update in a few days) We don't know about cats either. So far she has done really well with the dogs next to her. If interested in Alaska, please stop by Groomingdales Bed & Biscuit in Tampa for a meet and greet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alaska, a Tampa Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
