Here is what his foster mom had to say:
Unlike many toy breeds, Gizmo is quite friendly and although a little timid at first he warms up to everyone quickly. He is very sweet and quiet in the home only barking when someone comes to the door. Once they enter however he is fine and does not continue. He is also very good with other dogs. He gets along great with my dog and is always eager to meet new dog friends on our walks. Due to his small size he can get frightened by loud noises and traffic but it does not send him into a panic.
He LOVES to snuggle! He is likely one of the cuddliest dogs I have ever met. He always wants to be curled up on your lap or chest and is very affectionate. He appears to be very healthy and is a pretty boy as you can see.
He is curious about food but will not take it or steal it, and there have been no problems of chewing anything he shouldn't. I am working on his basic obedience and currently teaching him to sit. He does however have really good recall and comes when called. I would say he is well on his way to being house trained. There have only been a few accidents, but he knows to go outside on walks. Gizmo is crated for anywhere from 1-3 hours when I am gone and gets upset when he first goes in, but settles down after awhile. He is leash trained but does need to be encouraged to walk in front of you sometimes. He listens well to stay and does not try to bolt out the door when you are leaving. He is wonderful in the car - he curls up and just goes to sleep.
Gizmo is still very much a puppy so he would do well in a home where they can dedicate some time to training him. Otherwise, I think he would do well with either a young couple or family. He is an extremely gentle and loving little guy and whoever ends up with him is going to get a very loving pet.
If you think Gizzy would be a great addition to your family, please submit an application for consideration.
