Dixie's Story...
Dixie- is one and a half yrs. old She is house broken, crate trained, excellent with children and great with other dogs that are not dominant. She never started any of the fights, but isn't afraid to protect herself. She was originally abandoned on a hybrid wolf rescue farm emaciated with a broken leg and a litter of puppies to feed that were believed to be 1/2 wolf. She is currently in a loving home with a family who nursed her through surgery for the broken leg. She has a plate in her right leg and it is a little shorter because of her injury. She is sweet and gentle and easy to train.  The reason she needs to find a new home is because the current owners female dog wants to dominate Dixie so it has been like a cival war zone in their home. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Pottstown Alaskan Malamute/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Alaskan Malamute/Australian Shepherd for sale in Pottstown, or seeking a Alaskan Malamute/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Pottstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pottstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pottstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Alaskan Malamute/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Alaskan Malamute/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pottstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
