Candy's Story...
This girl is Cute Stuff! She is playful and affectionate. When you pick her up she snuggles like a baby with her "arms" around your neck. Candy is about 9 months old and weighs 18 lbs. She is spayed, UTD on shots and HW tested negative. She seems to be housetrained or very close. She will just need to settle into a new routine when she finds her forever family. If you would like to make the short legged love bug a part of your family, you may email lorainecm@comcast.net or paste the following link into your browser. http://www.poochesonthemove.net/one-more-last-chance-rescue.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Candy, a Brattleboro Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Dachshund for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Dachshund breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
