Brownie's Story...
Pint size perfection…

Our young man, Mr. Brownie is a two year old male Chihuahua. He weighs a mere 6 1/2 pounds.

This little guy was found wandering alone in Coronado, very thin and frightened.

After just a few days at the Coronado Animal Care Facility, Brownie’s gentle personality began to emerge and he quickly became a favorite of the staff and vets who have cared for him to date.

This humble and soulful gentleman is friendly, likes other dogs and relishes his walks. He sits quietly while riding in a car and has yet to utter a bark.

Because of small stature, Brownie would do best in a home with older children.

He is ready to begin a new life with a forever family, so please visit him at the Coronado Animal Care Facility soon!

The Coronado Animal Care Facility, located at 1395 First Street, is open every day between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm (except holidays).

If you are interested in adopting Brownie, you must first complete a dog adoption application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Dog Adoption Counselor.

Brownie’s Stats:

Male Dog, 2 Years Old, Chihuahua, Reddish Brown with White, 6.5 Pounds, Shots Up to Date, Neutered, Microchipped, Adoption Fee = $125.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brownie, a Coronado Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Coronado, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Coronado.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coronado already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coronado breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coronado paves the way for another one to be saved.
