Barney's Story...
Hi. My name is Barney. I am a seven year old German Shepherd/Lab Mix who weighs 55 Lbs.

Thos are my stats. Now let me tell you about me, the real me. I am a smoky black with speckles of white gorgeous specimen of a pup. I am fun and playful and love all people and dogs. I even like cats too. I really love kids and know how to behave well around them. I know basic commands and am a perfect gentleman settling well once I tell you someone is coming up the driveway. I just kind of let you be and visit and never beg or bother you. When you are finished visiting I am so ready to play with the tennis ball or just snuggle close on the couch or at your feet and catch a movie. When you want to walk...I am your man. I adore walks. I sleep through the night and wait patiently for you in the morning for my "business" time.

Please email mslondonspets@aol.com for more information or for an application to adopt me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barney, a Long Beach German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
