Nina's Info...

Nina's Story...
Nina is a larger-than-life girl guaranteed to make your days brighter. This 6-year-old calico lovebug just wants to relax, watch the birds out the window and snuggle up on the couch for a cozy snooze.

Nina is small framed but quite plump; all she needs is a little TLC to get back into tip-top form. Her gorgeous coloring and emerald eyes make her a one-of-a-kind knockout. She loves affection, but is fairly particular about where she gets touched (head and ears are a favorite; backside and underbelly may result in a nip or a swat).

Nina was abandoned in March at a high-kill animal shelter when her previous owners found out they were having a baby. She generally gets along with her foster mama's 1-year-old, but would thrive in a single-pet home with no or older children. Could you be her forever family?

Nina is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated against distemper and rabies, combo-tested negative for FIV/Leuk, and treated for all parasites.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nina, a Addison Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Addison, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Addison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Addison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Addison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Addison paves the way for another one to be saved.
