Kensington's Info...

Kensington's Story...
I came to AWLMC from the Montgomery County Humane Society. I was a stray. I am a handsome brown and white tabby that is full of love to give. I am super sweet and really enjoy attention. I am mellow and laid back and tend to roll with the punches. I am a little shy with new people, but give me a few minutes to check them out and make sure they are ok and I am good to go. I love to be petted and especially like my face and ears rubbed. I also like to snuggle with you when you watch tv or at night in bed. I am a quiet boy, but have a sweet little purr that tells you just how happy of a cat I am. I do enjoying playing; my favorite toy is the laser pointer. I will chase it all over the place! Stop by and see me today. I was a stray. I was born in 2009.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kensington, a Gaithersburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gaithersburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gaithersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gaithersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gaithersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gaithersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
