Wesley's Story...
Oh what a face Wesley has - just look at that mug shot - priceless!Wesley is a senior dog and we believe he is 8 years old, very calm and laid back, and just wants to be with people. He is very social and friendly. He loves other dogs and doesn't pay attention to cats. We just learned that he was a very expensive dog, bred in Canada, specifically for hunting. The perfect home for Wesley would be with an active retired couple or an active senior that wants a companion and who will be able to devote time and love as Wesley gets older.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wesley, a Newaygo German Wirehaired Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Wirehaired Pointer for sale in Newaygo, or seeking a German Wirehaired Pointer dog from a breeder in Newaygo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newaygo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newaygo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Wirehaired Pointer breeders who help with German Wirehaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newaygo paves the way for another one to be saved.
