Peanut has been with us since she was just a tiny puppy. Although, Peanut is still tiny, she is just a tiny young lady now. This darling four pound Chihuahua was born on June 20th, 2012. She was a breeder surrendered dog. Peanut had hypoglycemia as a puppy and required constant food and monitoring. Thankfully, she has outgrown that and has not had an “episode” in months. She also had an open fontanel, or soft spot, on the top of her head.
She is a very sweet little girl, loves playing in the grass with her friends and sleeping in her playpen at night. However, what Peanut really wants is a family that will let her sleep in bed and give her a forever home. She will be spayed prior to adoption and is now the picture of health. Please consider Peanut.
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application
here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.
After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not meet he/she will be adopted to that home.
Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
