Rocco's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Rocco's Story...
Rocco, AKA Moose is 131 lbs. of love and affection. This 3 year old boy has no guarding issues, loves dogs, people and is such a bundle of fun! His foster mom is teaching him to like carrots and veggies for treats. Rocco will get tested for thyroid issues next week, but so far, seems pretty active and alert for an overweight boy. We think his former owner just gave him lots of fattening people food, as he has no interest in dog food, even the good high quality stuff that dogs usually love. Stay tuned for more on Rocco/Moose, who is melting hearts whenever he goes. Please contact AmsterDog 917-689-8414 if you are interested in meeting this love-muffin!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocco, a New York American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in New York, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
