Rex's Story...
Rex is a very handsome 5 year cat who is looking for a forever home. His previous owner was moving and couldn’t take Rex so he is now waiting at the shelter for someone to give him a new beginning. This big boy was a little shy when he first came to us but he is now affectionate and very friendly. Rex loves his soft little bed to take a nap on and another favorite past time is to get lots of loving from his new home. This tabby is a mellow, easy going cat and would do best in an adult home or with a family with teenagers where there is not a ton of loud noise, chaos and quick movement. Rex has been an indoor/outdoor boy but I think he would do just fine being only indoors.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rex, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
