ROCKY's Story...
Rocky
Hard to believe that this little 11lb nugget was walking around all alone but it is true! Rocky (A19592548) is an adult Jack Russell mix who was found as a stray in NE Philadelphia. Rocky is so sweet, enjoys being carried and held. He seems to really want to play with other dogs. Come and meet this good boy today!
These dogs are ‘Benefactor Dogs’ and are available for adoption or rescue only. They have a higher adoption fee than most other dogs. Benefactor Dogs help to offset the cost of care for all of the other shelter animals. You can find them at ACCT 111 W Hunting Park Phila., Pa.

Act quickly to adopt ROCKY. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ROCKY, a Philadelphia Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
