Bailey's Story...
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out and submit our online application. Vet and personal references will be checked and a home visit is required. Also, a minimum 5' high fenced yard is required to adopt any of our dogs and invisible fences are NOT acceptable.

Bailey is a 1-year-old spayed female Siberian Husky/German Shepherd mix. Bailey is a super sweet girl with gorgeous blue eyes and so deserving of her forever home! She loves to play fetch and tug. She will amuse herself by throwing and chasing her own tug toy or ball. She is a very quick learner and knows sit, down, come, wait, and is doing nicely with stay. She’s doing very well at walking nicely on a leash. She is eager to please and loves praise for a job well done. She will take treats very nicely. She will lie down upon request and will wait until you tell her it’s ok to get her food. She loves attention from both adults and children. She has a lot of energy and would do well in agility but is content with a morning walk and an evening run around the yard or a session of tug or fetch. When she is tired, she will put herself to bed in her crate. She is housebroken.

Bailey does well with other dogs of similar size after she has had a chance to get to know them. Not certain of how she is with smaller dogs. No cats! It doesn’t appear that she was exposed to other dogs in her previous home but wants to play. She is learning appropriate play with other dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bailey, a Belleville Husky/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Belleville, or seeking a Husky/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Belleville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Belleville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Belleville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Husky/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Belleville paves the way for another one to be saved.
