Hamilton's Story...
Hamilton is a 2-3 year old lemon and white hound mix. He is about 50
pounds, but he is underweight and needs to gain a few pounds. Hamilton is
very sweet, likes car rides and walks well on the leash. He is friendly
with adults, children and other dogs. He seems to have a calm disposition.
Hamilton is in a playschool boarding kennel and he is eating well and
playing with all of the other dogs. Hamilton is looking for a foster home
or a forever home. Hamilton was picked up as a stray and he probably had a
hard start in life, but he is ready for a loving forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hamilton, a Richmond Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
