My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paloma is a very shy, but lovable, Miniature Schnauzer and although she is 4 years old, she is looking for her first real home. Paloma spent the first years of her life in a commercial breeding facility, one of those places that sell dogs ... lots of dogs, of many breeds and breed mixes. If the customer has the money, then they have a dog! They care little for the dog and even less for the customer! Many of these facilities make themselves more appealing by referring to themselves as “puppy farms” but don’t let that fool you. They are not idyllic places and produce what is in demand – it’s a business.
In the meantime, Paloma awaits a home where her sole purpose will be as an adored and beloved family member. After being a great mom to her puppies, Paloma is ready to be someone else’s baby. She has a Grade 2-3 heart murmur but this did not stop them from breeding her. Paloma has the potential of living a good life despite this. Also, she is missing part of her ear; we suspect that it was probably the result of a fight among the dogs. When many dogs are kept together (sometimes several in a cage), fights break out and dogs get hurt. Paloma is ready to put her past behind her and looks forward to a lifetime with her new family. She anxiously awaits her chance to be filling your home with love, laughter and companionship. Please fill in the Adoption Form if Paloma is the dog for you.
