ADOPTED! Harley Davidson's Story...
4-11-13 Harley Davidson is a young, happy dog. He is very smart and learns very quickly. He was sitting on command and walking on leash within minutes, he was walked by our 73 year old volunteer:) Harley's only problem is that he is a pit bull. In our experience, pit bulls, especially black ones, are slow to adopt out and do not do well over an extended time in the unstable pack life that the shelter has. Harley will only have 7 days in our shelter. If you can rescue, foster, or adopt Harley Davidson please call 479-965-3591 ASAP! He will be vetted if we can find a placement for him. PLEASE SHARE!
Please save lives by adopting from shelters and rescues and by spaying and neutering your own pets!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ADOPTED! Harley Davidson, a Charleston Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Charleston, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Charleston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charleston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charleston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charleston paves the way for another one to be saved.
