Macaroon (Mac)'s Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Macaroon (Mac)'s Story...
Macaroon (the little 5 pound boy) was in a kill shelter on a rabies quarentine. By law, if a dog that is not yours breaks the skin--even a tiny scratch on the arm--it must be quarantined for a minimum of 10 days. He was a family dog, and they let these very hyper neighbor kids play with him and he scratched one after they were too rough. The shelter quarantined him, and then the family never came back for him. He sat in that shelter for days and days even through a HUGE adoption drive and no one gave him a second look. He has been in several kennels with other dogs and has been nice to them all. The last one kept running over him, beating him up, and then the day I took him from the shelter, that dog peed on him while I was standing right there. Poor baby :((((( Since he has been in foster care, we have found out that he is housebroken. He also likes to rub up against your leg like a cat... then flop over for belly rubs!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Macaroon (Mac), a College Station Chihuahua/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Maltese for sale in College Station, or seeking a Chihuahua/Maltese dog from a breeder in College Station.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in College Station already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a College Station breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Maltese breeders who help with Chihuahua/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in College Station paves the way for another one to be saved.
