My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approximate age / weight: 7yrs old/70lbs (but definitely needs to lose about 10lbs)

Good With Cats: Unknown

Crate Trained: Yes

Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes, but pulls when excited

Knows Basic Commands: Yes

Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Couch Potato/Moderate - Roxie needs to be kept active and lose weight.

Arrival story: Roxie was an owner surrender to an animal shelter when her owner lost his home. It was very difficult for him to surrender her, but he knew he could not care for her and could no longer provide her with food and shelter. The staff fell in love with Roxie and put out a plea to save her. WT stepped in to give this girl a new lease on life! Although she lived her life in an outside kennel this smart girl knew what she needed to do with her second chance at life.....Roxie has good house manners and is house trained and crate trained.

Personality: Roxie is finally recovered from having knee surgery (she had a torn ACL) and is ready for her forever home. Roxie is overweight due to lack of exercise and also has an under-active thyroid. She is taking medications twice a day to help this. Roxie is a very affectionate dog who loves people and gets along great with other dogs. She enjoys playing in the yard, chewing on bones, and cuddling. Roxie listens well and knows her basic commands such as sit and down.

Forever home: Roxie is a laid back gal who will fit well into most situations. She will need to be kept active and get exercise to help her lose weight and keep it off. Roxie is looking for a family to call her own who will shower her with love and hugs and kisses.
